On the Road Again

Special Note: This trip can be combined with the trip to Philadelphia and New York City, which runs Oct, 16th – 21st. For those flying in from other parts of the country, depending on the numbers, I can provide, for a fee, walks, hotel, and transportation on the 14th & 15th. We will do the walk at Ft. McHenry in Baltimore and Inner Harbor

Oct. 12th: (Fri.) Depart the Gunther Parking Lot, near Baltimore, Maryland for the walking  weekend in

State College, Pennsylvania. The local walking club has a total of Seven (7) walks available for our hiking enjoyment!

(4 scheduled and 3 YRE’s)

The 1st walk that we will do is one that does not start from the Super 8 Hotel.  (Super 8 is the Walking Headquarters

for all the walks.) Walk goes through Penn State Arboretum; several sports landmarks including Beaver Stadium,

Penn State Sports Museum, and Medlar Field baseball stadium; through campus and the historic College Heights

neighborhood, passing by house of football coach Joe Paterno.

Hotel accommodations for 2 nights at the Super 8 Headquarters. (814) 237-8005 Continental Breakfast included.

(Might have time for another walk from the hotel after we check in!)

Oct. 13th: (Sat.) All day walks starting from the hotel! Social will be that evening at the hotel. 

(Social is included in the tour price)

Oct. 14th: (Sun.) Walking from the hotel until around 3:00 p.m. before we head back to the Baltimore area.
 

$50.00 will reserve your seat on this great trip to the Penn State Walking Weekend!  (Non-refundable)

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
One Payment will be due on August 31, 2012!

The cost of the trip will include:
• Fully Escorted Deluxe Bus Transportation (Gunther Charters)
• 2 nights of Hotel Accommodation at the Super 8 Hotel with Continental Breakfast
• Bagels, juice, coffee, and fruit on day of departure
• All Taxes and Tips, including the Bus Driver and Tour Escort
• Refreshments for the trip
• Social IS INCLUDED but walks ARE NOT since I do not know how many walks people will do
