Sept. 27th:
(Thurs.) FLY DAY ONLY TO OKLAHOMA
CITY, OKLAHOMA! Hotel accommodations at the Country Inn

Get-acquainted meeting will be held that evening! (7:30 p.m.)
Sept. 28th:
(Fri.) In the
morning, participate in the Oklahoma City Capital
year round event. The 10KM walks passed the Oklahoma National
Memorial and Capital. In the afternoon, drive to Tulsa,
Oklahoma for walk. This walk passes several lovely, stately
homes, museums and gardens. Hotel accommodations at Comfort
Suites

Sept. 29th: (Sat.) Drive
to Fort Smith, Arkansas for the year round event. This
walk takes you in
the National Historic Site grounds where some of
the points of interest are the Trail of Tears that overlooks the
Arkansas River, parade grounds, museums, and churches. Continue
our journey to Little Rock, Arkansas for hotel
accommodations at the Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown (501)

Sept. 30th:
(Sun.)
Participate in the Capital Walk that includes the State Capital,
Old State House,
Governor’s Mansion, Clinton Presidential Library and various
museums. Continue to Branson, Missouri for 3 nights
at the Best Western Center Pointe

Breakfast included.
(Located on the famous Strip)
Oct. 1st: (Mon.)
Participate in both walks in Branson today! Mainly paved
surfaces that take you along
the Branson Strip and residential areas. The
“Landing” walk takes you along Lake Taneycomo, through a park,
historic downtown Branson and the new Branson Landing. Evening
show is the “Shoji Tabuchi Show” that is included in the
tour price. (Musical Entertainment with wife and daughter who
sing, dance, and play) Return to our hotel.
Oct. 2nd:
(Tues.) Drive to the Joplin
area for walk event. See some of the devastation of the tornado
that
ruined parts of Joplin. The walk that we are
doing was not affected by the tornado.
The walk winds through
downtown Joplin, through Landreth Park, and
the restored Victorian-era homes. Return to our hotel.
Oct. 3rd: (Wed.) Depart
the Branson area and drive to Jefferson City, Missouri for the Capital
Walk. This walk strolls
along the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River Valley, through a nice wooded
park and the Capital Building. Continue onto St. Louis, Missouri
for hotel accommodations for 3 nights at the
Drury Inn & Suites Downtown. (314) 231-3900 Free soda, drinks,
and snacks for the evening! Right
next door to Union Station, with many shops and restaurants and
close to the Start/Finish of the Arch Walk.
Oct. 4th: (Thurs.)
SLEEP-IN!!!! Walk at your convenience
the Downtown Arch walk. The trail winds
through downtown St. Louis, along the
Mississippi River, past the Baseball,
Football and Hockey arenas
and crosses the Arch grounds.
Return to hotel.
Oct. 5th: (Fri.)
Drive a short distance to the suburbs
of St. Louis for two walks, the
Historic Central
West End Walk and the Forest Park Walk.
Both walks start at the same Start/Finish so we will be there
all day. The
Fabulous Central End Walk follows business and restaurant areas, Cathedral
Basilica, and
through tree-lined streets of St. Louis mansions. The Forest Park
Walk will take you through the largest urban
park in the United States and was
the site for the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair. Return to our hotel.
Oct. 6th: (Sat.)
FLY DAY ONLY BACK TO OUR HOME
DESTINATIONS! (No free shuttle,
so people will have to pay a
shuttle service to St. Louis Lambert Field Airport – approximate
cost is $20.00 a person.)
