TATER TOUR CANADIAN CONVENTION & MORE TRIP!

MAY 15^TH – 27^TH 2012

May 15^th: (Tues.)  FLY DAY ONLY TO SYRACUSE, NEW YORK!   OR YOU CAN RIDE THE BUS FROM BALTIMORE, MD TO SYRACUSE.  If you ride the bus from Baltimore, we will stop in Binghamton, New York for a possible 5KM walk. Hotel accommodations at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Syracuse (315) 703-7946 Continental Breakfast included.  Free Shuttle Service from the airport for those that want to fly into Syracuse. 

May 16^th: (Wed.)  In the morning, drive to Sackets Harbor, New York for new year round event. This is a Historic Village walk along the Black River Bay and Lake Ontario.  Cross the Canadian Border, and continue onto Kingston, Ontario for year round event.  This walk passes along the waterfront and many historical sites of Kingston. Drive a short distance for hotel accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express located in Gananoque, Ontario (613) 382-8338  Continental Breakfast included. 

May 17^th:  (Thurs.) Drive to Brockville, Ontario for the year round event. This walk also goes along   the waterfront and through the city of Brockville. Continue our drive to Ottawa with a stop in Manotick for year round event. (No description given but was informed it was a very nice walk.) Hotel accommodations (well, not exactly hotel) college accommodations, at the Algonquin College (Convention Headquarters) Each suite has two private bedrooms with a double bed in each room, a kitchenette, and bathroom.  Shopping Centre across the street with fast food places and 2 full service restaurants.  Continental Breakfast included. (Although a Canadian continental is just rolls & muffins)

May 18^th – 21^st  Canadian Walking Convention …we will participate in the walks and do a few of Ottawa’s great
year round events.  (TBD)  Lots to see in this beautiful and Historic City!!! 

May 21^st: (Mon.) Participate in the Post Convention Walk and then depart for Montreal, Quebec and our hotel for
2 glorious nights close to Old Montreal at the Days Inn, Montreal Centre-ville (514) 393-3388   Continental Breakfast included.   We should arrive early enough to explore this historic City on own! (Visit the Basilica of Notre Dame)

May 22^nd: (Tues.) Participate in Montreal year round event that follows many of the picturesque andhistoric streets of Old Montreal and the Old Port.  In the afternoon, participate in Year round event that follows picturesque streets in the St-Denis area and Olmstead Road to reach the top of Mount Royal.  Return to our hotel.

May 23^rd:  (Wed.) Depart this beautiful city of Montreal and drive to another fantastic city of Quebec City.  (Sightseeing in the afternoon prior to checking into our hotel which is located Downtown, within walking distance
of major attractions.  (Take a tour of the famous Chateau Frontenac or walk to the La Citadelle for a tour) Hotel accommodations for 2 nights at the Best Western-City Center (418) 649-1919 

May 24^th:   (Thur.) Participate in two year round events that pass many historical sites, nice parks and wonderful views.  (Both walks will take all day for there is so much to see. Enough time will be given to have lunch and maybe even rest before we start the second walk.)

May 25^th  (Fri.):  Depart our friends in Canada back to the USA!!!  Drive to Freeport, Maine for walk and SHOPPING at L.L BEAN!!! Freeport is located along the shores of Upper Casco Bay and often is credited as being the birthplace of the State of Maine.  The walk will take you through the Freeport Village.   Hotel accommodations at the Super 8 Hotel in Freeport. (207) 865-1408. ????Hampton Inn is the Start/Finish for the walk.   Continental Breakfast included. 

May 26^th:  (Sat.) Depart our hotel and drive to Boston for year round event. There are a couple of  different year round events to choose from, whether you want to do the Back Bay, Special Places, or Freedom Trail walks.  (I have done all 3 walks and all are great!) Drive to the suburb of Woburn for hotel accommodations at the Fairfield Inn (781) 938-7575 Continental Breakfast included.

May 27^th:  (Sun.) FLY DAY ONLY BACK TO OUR HOME DESTINATIONS OR DRIVE WITH THE BUS BACK TO BALTIMORE!  For those flying out of Boston, you can get a  taxi to  Anderson Station (Approximately 1 ½ miles away from hotel) where you can catch a bus to Boston Logan Airport.
