TATER TOURS TO CRAZY HORSE & MORE
MAY 30TH – JUNE 9TH, 2012

Crazy Horse Volksmarch



May 30th: (Wed.) Fly day only to Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. Hotel Accommodations at the
Country Inn & Suites at the Mall of America! Continental Breakfast included
and free shuttle from the airport. This hotel is the Start/Finish for the Mall of
America Walk so if you fly in early, you can always do the year round event. A
Get-Acquainted meeting will be held that evening!

May 31st: (Thurs.) Drive a short distance to suburb of Chanhassen to participate in the seasonal walk.
Continue onto Sioux Falls, South Dakota for year round event that starts from the
Country Inn & Suites, our hotel. Continental Breakfast included. This walk is on
city sidewalks and recreation trails, through historic and park areas including the Falls
of the Big Sioux River.

June 1st: (Fri.) Depart our hotel and drive to Pierre, South Dakota for Capital Walk. The trail
goes up "The Hill", through Hilger's Gulch Park, tours the Capitol Building and
grounds, WW II, Korean and Vietnam War Memorials, Mickelson "Fighting
Stallions" memorial and Capitol Lake. Our hotel is the alternate Start/Finish for the
walk, the Best Western Ramkota Inn. (Breakfast NOT included.)

June 2nd: (Sat.) Drive to Badlands National Park for a Sanctioned Walk. The walk winds through
 park on preexisting trails. Enjoy this beautiful Park! Onto Rapid City for hotel
accommodations at the Country Inn & Suites for 2 nights. Continental Breakfast
included. (Gain 1 hour today!)

June 3rd: (Sun.) Participate in the Crazy Horse Memorial walk!!! A great day indeed! The World’s
Largest Mountain Carving! Visit the Native American Cultural Center, the Indian
Museum and the sculptor’s log studio-home. In the afternoon, visit Mt. Rushmore
and then return to our hotel.

June 4th: (Mon.) Drive across the border into Wyoming for the Devil’s Tower National Monument
walk. This walk winds through the Prairie Dog town and around the Magnificent
Tower. Continue onto Dickinson, North Dakota for hotel accommodations at the
Holiday Inn Express. Continental Breakfast included.

June 5th: (Tues.) Drive to Bismarck, North Dakota for Capitol Walk. This walk goes through parks
and residential areas and to the State Capitol. Continue onto Fargo, North Dakota
and hotel accommodations at the Country Inn & Suites. Continental Breakfast
included.

June 6th: (Wed.) Participate in the Fargo year round event. This walk goes through neighborhoods and
residential areas and through North Dakota State Campus. Continue onto St. Cloud,
Minnesota and participate in year round event. The 10K trail walks over bridges and
through gardens that border the Mississippi River: Munsinger Gardens and the
Virginia Clemens Rose Gardens (renowned for wrought iron fountains and fences).
Continue onto the same hotel from the beginning of the trip, Country Inn & Suites
for 3 glorious nights. Continental Breakfast included.

June 7th: (Thurs.) Drive to Lacrosse, Wisconsin for year round event and that all important Wisconsin
walk! This is a city walk that includes historic residences, the University of Wisconsin
- La Crosse campus, historic downtown La Crosse and a stroll through a park along
the Mississippi River and a trail along the La Crosse River. Return to our hotel.

June 8th: (Fri.) Drive a short distance to participate in the St. Paul Capital walk. We will be here all
day since there is another walk from the same start/finish. The first event winds
through historic areas of St Paul. Walk past Historic Churches, Veterans Memorials,
State Capitol and the Excel Energy Center {St Paul Civic Center} The second walk,
Minnehaha Falls winds along St. Paul streets to the Mississippi River and across Ford
Parkway bridge to Minnehaha Park. Walk on paved paths to the John Stevens and
Longfellow houses. Return to our hotel.

June 9th: (Sat.) Fly back to home destinations!!! Hoping that everyone had a great time!

The cost of the trip will include:
• Fully Escorted Deluxe Bus Transportation (Gunther Charters!)
• 10 nights of Hotel Accommodations at various hotels
• Deluxe Continental Breakfast at ALL hotels except the Best Western in Pierre
• All Taxes and Tips, including those for the Bus Driver and Tour Escort
• Refreshments and snacks throughout the trip
• Entrance Fees into Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Devil’s Tower National Monument
• Walk Fees for all walks except for Crazy Horse and if Mall of America walk is done.
