The beautiful sterling pendant is carefully hand inlaid by the Laconsellos. It measures long 1.5 inches including the bail.
Sterling Silver with Inlaid Natural Stones
Considered to be some of the finest inlay jewelry artists, Ruddell and Nancy have become masters of their craft. Nancy will create the inlay motif while Ruddell crafts the silver settings and completes the finish work. This piece is stamped on the reverse with the artists' traditional hallmark of "RN Laconsello, Sterling, Zuni."

Sammy and Esther Guardian Blue Jay Pendant and Roadrunner Pendant

These lovely small Sterling pendants were made by Sammy and Ether Guardian, well-known Zuni inlay artists. The Roadrunner is seen with a saguaro cactus in the background. The Blue Jay is featured with red flowers. Pendants measure 1 and 1/4 inch long. Stamped S&E Guardian on the back.

Just as the Navajo did not do silverwork as part of their culture, the Zuni did not make things out of silver until the late 1800's.
In fact, the Zuni were introduced to silverwork by the Navajo people.

Corn Maiden Pendants

Beautifully inlaid Zuni pendants by famed Fetish carver Stuart Quandalecy. Be sure to use the zoom feature to see the marvelous detail.
Signed on the back by the artist plus Zuni. These corn maidens are usually carved in fetish carving form. But recently the artist has set some shell and turquoise maidens in Sterling for pendants.
These have become quite popular. Nicely done with high quality stones. The pendants measure 2 inches long by 1/4 inch across. Mounted in heavy sterling.
